Victoria Whitelaw

MIRPM AssocRICS, Team Manager at Rendall and Rittner

We have appointed Doyenne Ambassadors in different regions across the UK to join us in spreading the message of empowering women in leasehold. Our Doyenne Ambassadors will be holding an annual event in each of their regions as well as then coming together for our annual London-based Doyenne event.

We’re proud to introduce you to Victoria one of our six inspiring women that are joining us as an Ambassador.

Victoria has worked in the Property Management Sector for just shy of ten years and like most people, fell in to residential block management in an administration role totally by accident. Since then Victoria’s passion for not only block management but for women’s empowerment has grown considerably.

Victoria was heavily influenced by a female Property Manager, who inspired and trained Victoria to work towards becoming a Property Manager herself. Victoria worked hard and was recognised for her efforts by winning the coveted Young Property Manager of the Year award at the 2013 News on the Block Awards. This achievement gave Victoria the confidence to progress within the industry and make a career-changing move to a bigger, well-respected managing agent.

Fast forward to present day and Victoria is extremely proud to work for Rendall and Rittner, whose head office is made up of 61% female staff. Victoria is also proud to be one of 54% of female Property Team Managers within Rendall and Rittner headed up by two female senior board members (stats correct as of March 2019).

Victoria is passionate about not only encouraging women into the sector but also young people regardless of gender. Having left education at 17 with no formal qualifications higher than GCSE’s, Victoria is extremely proud of her MIRPM and AssocRICS status. Victoria is a big advocate of the Apprenticeship programme now offered in conjunction with the IRPM and is looking forward to seeing the next generation of Property Managers progress.

Victoria is currently undertaking the build to rent professional qualification offered by IRPM, whilst already being a Member of the institution as a Block Manager. Victoria is also in training to become a unit leader for the Girl guiding organisation where she hopes to inspire a young generation of girls.

Victoria is excited to join Doyenne to work alongside some of the most well respected women in the industry and promote the message of Doyenne throughout the north of England.
